Exercise Clear Corridor tests regional emergency response on Goldfields Hwy
10/03/2026
In February 2026, our Kathleen Valley Emergency Response Team joined ‘Exercise Clear Corridor’: a large-scale, multi-agency field exercise on Agnew-Leinster Road that simulated a major road incident involving a collision between two passenger buses and a heavy vehicle carrying hazardous materials.
The exercise tested the coordination between our neighbouring mines across scene safety, HAZMAT response, mass-casualty management and incident command, alongside Gold Fields, BHP, Bellevue Gold, Northern Star Resources Limited, WA Police Force, Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, St John Ambulance, Main Roads Western Australia and others.
Our people treated the exercise with the discipline and urgency of a real emergency. They demonstrated the strength of their training, preparation and commitment to keeping people safe, both on our site and across the region.
Thank you and well done to everyone involved.
